day with Karina
yea! Today, I got to see Karina. She was home for memorial day weekend. yea again! We went to the Playboy jazz festival in Pasadena. There were tons of arts and crafts vendors. Karina browsed the photos for something to mildly freak out her future roommate, Cynthia. I was not opposed to the idea of freaking out Cynthia. Hehe. We got a good deal on the pogs (trade money for old-school circles of Hawaiian cardboard, trade circles for food) and each got a cup of lemonade and a sweet potoato pie. At the festival there was also a bean pie man selling pies made from navy beans. I promised Karina that I would ask my dad why navy beans are not navy blue in color.
Things I observed today:
1. $6.25 is too much to pay for 1 funnel cake. 3 sweet potato pies is a better bargin.
2. Summer is coming. Today's temperature was close to 90 degrees. Hot!
Here's some of the results from KROQ's rock/party music count down.
1. Beastie Boys- Fight for your right
2. Sublime- Smoke Two Joints
3. Violent Femmes- Kiss Off
4. Bob Marley- Jammin
5. Blur- Song 2
...
14. Weezer- Buddy Holly
I am glad that the people recognize that these songs are quality party music. No sarcasm intended.
