Doesn't have a point of view

give me a break
I have been watching lots of James Bond lately so I am entitled to some cheesy jokes in his honor. At the beginning of Goldfinger he throws a heater into a bathtub to electrocute the bad guy, then smoothly says "shocking." I had to laugh at that one.

A lot has happened since my last entry, but I am feeling lazy to recap. I have shopped, seen family, gone out for coffee a record number of 2 times, seen close friends, partied for new year's, watched plenty of tv, searched for a new wallet to buy online, and read half of Middlesex. Basically life is good. Now it's time start on summer applications.

Highlights of the week to come are my lunch with Trinh and going back to San Gabriel High, I guess. It would have been better with Sylvia with me. I also hope to see Lillian and visit Nucleus.

I watched Kill Bill Vol. 1 the other day and now need to see Kill Bill Vol. 2.

With the year over, I am seeing lists of top movies and songs. I realize, also after Felix's question of what is currently in my CD player, that I don't purchase or listen to much brand new music. I could have lied and answered with the Arcade Fire, but in all honesty, I have only heard a couple of their songs and they did not strike me in a way that songs from a band like the Decemberists did when I first heard them. I cannot compose a fair top album list without hearing them in entirety. I have some shaping up to do. Right before I left, I think I was most excited about the new Ted Leo, Rilo Kiley's Portion for Foxes, and my discovered interest in alt country. I hate to admit it, but I am starting to be a sucker for Ryan Adams, Whiskeytown, and similar artists which I am still trying to dig up.

This year, I might actually make some resolutions. This may be the first year ever.

Grammy nominations came out without me knowing. All I have to say is that I am not pleased. Los Lonely Boys? Hoobastank? This couldn't have been a good year for the music world.
