Doesn't have a point of view

international mail
Today I received two pieces of mail from outside the united states. One was from Tom, which I was sort of expecting since he inquired about my address. The other was an Italian birthday card from Karina. Both were just wonderful.

On my way back from the RCC, I was thinking about things to write in my blog and now I don't remember why I was thinking about names, but I was. When driving through Wallula, I thought, Wallula is fun to say. I would name a kid Wallula. It's even better than Walla Walla and it could be shortened to Lula or Wallu. Sadly, none of the 3 would probably be appreciated by a child. My dad or mom or some parent calls me Lulabell sometimes. That's not so bad.

So, last week was my birthday. If you missed it, no need to worry. I believe that between work and wedding family I had a record high number of birthday wishes. I even got a radio shoutout (semi-requested) that I didn't get to hear. My whole week was fantasticly fun.
Seeing family is good. Canoeing is good. Hearing Alhambra fireworks from an airport terminal is good too.
Here's the link to one of my favorite birthday wishes. If you like humorous photos of me, you should lovethis, courtesy of Elizabeth.

Quick movie reviews: Tonight I saw Batman Begins. It was exciting enough, although I am beginning to dislike Katie Holmes the more I see her face everywhere.
More importantly, last weekend, I stayed up to watch "The Secret Life of Dentists." It turned out to be an excellent film that I highly reccommend. It was a great typical-family-man-with-troubled-marriage/life sort of story like "American Beauty" but not as extreme or creative. It was more like "Sideways" in depicting regular people.
My final movie note is that I'm not usually one to gush over celebrities, but Peter Sarsgaard grows to be more charming every time I see him. Man, Peter Sarsgaard.
