Doesn't have a point of view

This is what school feels like. The wonderful illustration is the work of Chris Appelhans, whose art you should check out.  Posted by Picasa

my weakness
Hey hey. I'm feeling slightly more optomistic about things lately. Elizabeth strongly encouraged me to take a study break to share this finding with you. This link will take you to radio.blog.club which allows me to listen to pop music without last.fm knowing about it. Anyway, click on "Smells like Teen Booty" to hear Bootylicious remixed with Kurt Cobain's masterpiece. It's great, especially the part about the jelly.
I should make a mix of songs about foods that are not really foods, like Bootylicious and Milkshake. On second thought, maybe not.
For some reason, I became super obsessed with female pop like Destiny's Child and Kelis last night. Kelis does have a new single with a hilarious video, "Bossy." My newest newest obsession is this song by Rihanna called "S.O.S." I need to talk to Xi about it because it gets its greatness from sampling "Tainted Love," but Xi's in NYC.

lament
Time is such a luxury.

I only have 3 hours of solid work time before midnight. Alas, spring break has flown.

I am going to get this all done. I am, I am, I am.

And after that, I will enjoy life as much as possible.

day
Also, today is a special day. Sharon's mom is in Davis. Elizabeth is taking the GREs. Chau is flying to San Francisco. Eric is coming back. Oh, also. Elizabeth is funny and wonderful.

response from nowheregirl: don't you feed me lies about some idealistic future

llama: ooh, is someone being all angsty up in yor face and being like LYNDSAY WE COULD HAVE AL OF THIS AND IT COULD BE SO PERFECT JUST SAY YOU'LL BE MINE FOREVER
llama: and you're like NO WAY JOSE I'M GOINGTO MAKE MY OWN FUTURE SO BUZZ OFF
llama: ad the other person is like < /3
llama: and you're like BOOM SWAGGER SWAGGER SWAGGER BOOM BOOM BOOM
llama: and then y put on sme boots and walk out the door and never turn back
llama: because hat's what boots were made for
llama: breaking hearts and never lookin back
llama: some people cal them "fuck me" boots
llama: but it's more like "fuck you!" boots
llama: the 9:5:29 pm remark--that should be "that's" not "hat's" because boots were not made for hats
llama: unless you're realy into that whole matching thing
llama: in which case hat's 'n belt's 'n purse' what boots were made for

In reality, if anyone is feeding my lies, it is myself. My away message is really just the result of my guilty and way-too-late obsession with the postal service, but Elizabeth's explanation makes my life seem much more interesting.

crazy
I told myself I would work, work hard today.
I woke up at 4 and then at 6 and finally at 8. Then I decided to clean a little before the family returns, but I should seriously know better than to try to clean anything quickly. My quick floor sweeping led to me hand scrubbing the entire kitchen floor with scouring powder. I need to go take a shower before my hands fall off from the ungloved chemical exposure.

food, food, food
I am still without new photos because Mom forgot to bring the camera to our adventure to the pastry shop where we obtained Oliver hugs and a glimpse at his trip to Venezuela.

I should not be sitting so near my computer when I am already so behind on everything, but I am. I might actually need it soon.
I'm more or less just blabbing to myself than writing for you.

Here. Food is always interesting.

Today I made a bunch of things. I went crazy. My housemates are not home. I have never experienced this luxury before. I wish I had time to embrace how wonderful it is. I used my record player. I baked blueberry muffins. I sat in the bathroom. I danced around the kitchen. I sang in the shower. Then, I soaked some mung beans, which put a damper on it all. They have been sitting on my shelf for almost a year but I have not wanted to make them when Huyen was around because its her thing and I have no idea what I'm doing. I feel incredibly guilty for making these things right now, so I will tell you later what they are because they are amazing.

Yesterday I ate a tuna sandwich at Merchant's which was fun. I tried to read there, but I am too much of a sucker for watching people. Biking around downtown Walla Walla on a Saturday reminded me of how wonderful the town really is.

Friday was Indian food at the Exxon station. Prawin made kidney beans and rice sound less than exciting, but they were delicious. The couple is thinking about making goat next week. As Prawin said, there may soon be a goat in his life, as he might help them clean it.

The night before tha Anu made a huge meal for the family that included daal, curried califlower, yogurt, rice, and cucumbers. Huyen poured me a huge glass of chocolate milk to go with it and later I ate a little of Anu's deliciously rich kheer.

On Friday I also cooked for myself which I haven't done in forever. I really haven't made stir fry in three weeks. I don't think I've cooked with meat for probably a month. Man, it was good.

Okay. That's the end of my food list. Eric is scheduled to be back tomorrow afternoon to make my life more interesting again.

i wish a had a new photo to post
I should not be here right now.

I should be in the science building.
I post when I am in a weird mood because that's when I feel like it, but that leads to semi-depressed journal entries.

Once orals are over I can stop pretending that my time is in some way more valuable than everyone else's. That is a relief.

I've been eating a lot of sugar and snack foods lately. It's weird. It gets better as I spend less time in my house and have fewer snacks available to me. I just ate half a pomelo.

I should not be here right now.
