shoes!
The Northwest and California combine in this brand new shoe. Ahhhh! Pendleton wool is making Vans Slip-ons. Actually maybe Vans is making slip-ons out of Pendleton wool. I'm not really sure how the partnership works. The next shoes on my list have been vans slip-ons, but I've been holding out and crossing my fingers that they will start making some with argyle patterns. This is nearly better.

It seems that my blog has recently been beef and dairy themed. I went out with Lillian two days ago to Soda Pop Stop and bought a bottled chocolate egg cream. It looks a little chunky, but I wanted to find out what it is like. I will report back soon.

lobster
I went to the lobster festival with my parents. Here are some more photos. I am into photos lately because Chau is far away. I miss her and Elizabeth. Anyway, the festival itself was not too exciting but the lobster was pretty good. The diversity of people there eating cheap lobster made me reappreciate southern California. I made my parents walk through the fish market to see the great plates of shell-on-shrimp fajitas. We have to take a trip back there for those. One couple was eating a large plate of salmon and something that looked like fried potatoes. Yum.

ohio
First off, I am back in Alhambra. Anyone who can find my journal and who wants to hang out with me should contact me immediately. I am bored of being sucked into the internet looking for grad schools, places to go in thailand, and possible jobs.

I just got back from Ohio. Here are some photos from my trip. I ate a lot of beef, ice cream, and pie. I still can't believe how cheap everything is there. Now I am on a no-food diet to make up for it. My grandma is doing really well and, as my cousin says, will probably outlive all of us.
I tried to open the car door for her and she asked what I was doing. She began to walk around to the other side of the car, opened the door for me, and then walked back to the other side to get in. That is how stubborn she is about people doing things for her.
We went to a Pioneer day festival in the streets of Kahlida. I watched a tractor pull contest for little kids. The overly loud announcer kept saying things like get er done and we got a full pull. The other highlight of my trip was going to my uncle's house. He had three of the fuzziest kittens I have ever seen. While we were there, one of his minature horses escaped and my dad and cousin's husband had to drag it back into the gate. Two of the tiny kittens bounded after the dragged horse and almost got squished. Here are the photos.
