I know a lot of you could probably care less about my Beatles obsession, but if you have ever liked anything by the Beatles, you should really check out the new album LOVE. It just sounds amazing. You can listen to the entire thing for free at the above site.

I also just felt like my journal needed a new post.

Also, Chris Cartner is back to hosting Breakfast with the Beatles but at a new radio station. I hope the show now gets the respect it deserves.

I tried to post about this when I started my job, but blogger deleted my entry again. I am still captivated by this vegetable that we sell. Look at this site to see it. Unfortunately, I am sure that it doesn't taste as amazing as it looks.

I have spent a few of the past days working in the bakery. After staring straight at an aisle of fresh bread, I began to daydream of a grilled extra extra sharp cheddar cheese sandwich on John Wheatland's bread. This led to my list of Walla Walla foods that I miss.

1. John Wheatland's stone ground wheat bread
2. Abanil tacos from La Monarca
3. Kheer from the Exxon station
4. Pollo con nopalitos from La Hacienda
5. Umpqua's huckleberry cheesecake ice cream at Bright's
6. Big Cheese's garlic chicken pizza
7. Tortilla chips from Milton Freewater
8. Of course, my favorite Oregon hazelnut bread

On the other hand, I cannot think of a single food in the Tri-Cities worth mentioning.

Thanksgiving, America's food-based holiday, is coming up soon. I might end up working that day though which will be a little sad. I'm sure that I will still get to eat plenty of turkey in our Alhambra home/turkey capital, so I'm not too worried.

one more year
Last night I convinced my parents to take me to Fosselman's because I had noticed signs for licorice ice cream in their windows before Halloween. As we drove up, I saw that the sign was no longer there. That started a night of cries about having to wait a full year for the chance at the seasonal flavor. I have never tried Fosselman's licorice but I'm sure it would be better than any other licorice ice cream that I have ever had. Only their lemon custard could cheer me up again.

Recently I have been searching the internet for this t-shirt that I saw at the L.A. County Fair. It said, sweeter than pan dulce and had a drawing of Mexican sweet bread. That made me realize that I could make t-shirts saying sweeter than almost any sweet food and they would be funny and cute. Sweeter than palletas? Hotter than pupusas? Sweeter than taro slush with boba? Hehe.
